10/21/2007 The things you can learn during life--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for all the comments...I'll be by your space to leave comment...not just at the moment, Right now all I have is a nifty email I received. and i wanted to share it with you.
Chelle's home and is now waiting for the inflammation to subside before they can do a PET scan. Maybe December or January. Things are looking good!
I'll get new pics up of The Prtincess and Big Brother Jack soon (I hope)
Can you believe that I've been called yet again for jury duty??? This will be the 4th time in 5 years. It's like having a bad job that pays crummy and you can't talk back to the boss.
OK...here it is...
MOUSE TRAP STORY.
This is excellent...
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.
What food might this contain? The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap. Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house! The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me."" I cannot be bothered by it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. "Be assured you are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose." So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.
The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died. So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them. The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk. We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another. SEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER HELPED YOU OUT AND LET THEM KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE. REMEMBER,,,, EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY; OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON. The very best things to hold onto in this world are family and friends
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 10/12/2007 Another day in Paradise....While at the moment, I can’t complain too much….(although if you give me a moment…I’ll think of something), here’s what’s going on.
Obviously, my oldest is due in February with probably a girl that appears to be healthy. Yay!!…Thank you God….I’m sure Jack’s not going to be all that happy after the first day or so. But you never know. My oldest is 15 months older than The Princess’s, mom and we helped her believe that she was her new baby as well as ours and I don’t remember any jealousy and animosity until they were teens. Of course then all H-E-double hockey sticks broke out more than a few times… but I don’t think Jack is aware of things yet.
I’m much better, the thing is that I probably don’t need a SSRI’ I just need time and a purpose to get me past my feeling of sadness. It all began on my sister’s birthday which coincided with The Princess’s not coming to my house everyday, (my sister’s birthday was days after mine and 4 days before Chelle’s) and I just began thinking about things never being the same, etc….The Lexapro raised my seretonin levels too much and my body thought it was on speed or something.
Once the Lexapro got out of my system, I began to function back nearly normal. I’m still depressed, but that’s also caused by The Princess’ not being here, Chelle’s cancer and other things. This too shall pass.
Right now, Chelle’s in the hospital, she developed what is known as radiation pneumonia and feels pretty crummy, but a bone scan shows that the cancer has not metastasized (as of yet) and according to her oncologist, he’s only had 2 patients with a negative bone scan go on to later having bone cancer in this age group. All in all it’s good news, she’s basically got pneumonia and feels like cr*p and actually does not want to leave the hospital yet.
One of the drawbacks to all this is that the hospital is in FT and it takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get there. That means I have to leave Lola all day to entertain herself for 8-9 hours and the trash seems to be her favorite thing.
Still working on getting my knee fixed…if any of my dear readers know much about insurance from the inside of how things work….especially something called the RAP Provision….email me and I’ll go into detail and perhaps you can give me a few pointers.
Fall is on it’s way…. the temps have begun to come down into the 80’s and the leaves are falling,
One thing is certain…. time goes on no matter anyone’s problems or joys…. and it’s true…everything does pass eventually, and God’s always in charge.
10/9/2007 Well.....We think it's a
GIRL!
The tech wasn't 100%, but it looks like Jack's going to have a sister next February!
She's not only a gorgeous daughter, an ex-Navy Lt (who by the way served over 2 years aboard the USS George Washington, an aircraft carrier; the ship that sat guard for 6 months in the Persian gulf where the jets took off and landed that flew over Iraq) BUT she's also a great dentist, AND she also looks great for a pregnant lady!
P.S. I had a longer entry, but I had another enexpected blogectomy that was a bit more indepthl....guess MSN didn't get my payment in time. |
